Yes, we use that phrase on our kids a lot. With 3 kids it is always about who got more or who did something first. However, it applies to me and my husband too. Our life is not about us, it is about the God that we serve. Our Heavenly Father doesn't always give us what we want, but he does supply our needs. Join us on our journey as we work to put Him first in our lives and not "throw a fit" in the process.

Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year!
These last few weeks have been very busy and I have not had time to post at all, but now things are winding down. As I type, snow is falling, the kids are in their rooms playing, and hubby is watching football. We had a wonderful Christmas, but now I am so looking forward to saying goodbye to 2010 and starting fresh in 2011. There is just something about a new year. For me it gives me a chance to get things in order, set my priorities straight, and try again to do the things that maybe did not go so well in the previous year. I am starting this year at least 30 pounds lighter than I was last year, and hopefully this year, I can say goodbye to more weight and hello to better health and more energy. This year I am also going to focus on the important things, like my daily bible study. In the craziness of life I have let some very important things fall through the cracks, so I am definitely going to get back on track.
I hope that you are looking forward to this new year. I can't wait to see what God has in store for all of us.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Sunday Afternoon Shopping
I decided to do a quick coupon run today. Didn't need anything major, but wanted to get a few things before they were all gone. You know how these crazy coupon people are. They get all the good stuff. :-).
The above picture are my Walgreens deals. I spent $3.83 and saved $22.20.
The next picture are my CVS deals. I spent $1.72 and saved $17.53. I was a little sad at CVS because I was going for the Zhu Zhu pet deal and they were all out.
This last picture is what I came away with at Kroger. I spent $25.70 and saved $22.34.
I didn't do too bad today.
Total spent = $31.25
Total saved =$62.07
I even still have $18.75 of my $50 weekly budget to spend!
